We have taken this project because in today’s world everyone is running to take up professions like engineering, medicine and technology.
In doing so we are seeing a decline in willingness to take up a creative career like painting, music etc. In the fast-moving time in the mechanical world we do not get much time to appreciate the beauty around us. In this project we try to highlight such artistic beauty present around us and showcase simple yet artistically amazing pieces of wonderful objects. We considered several factors to ensure that at the end of the project the viewer, student of all ages will appreciate the artistic world around us in which we live.
Highlighting the presence of art in our daily life and the development of the sensitivity of our tender minds is a part of our project.
Our project is targeted to students above 5th standard and would also equally inspire adults. Interviews conducted with varied people and professional creative personalities will be an eye opener to many aspiring students and over ambitious parents. Surveys conducted during this project both online and in person definitely add towards arriving at a change of attitude towards the wonderful world of creativity.
The responses that we have received through the Think quest interactive tools and through the online survey, is certainly a good reason to take a different approach towards creativity and development of better sensitivity towards this creative medium as reflected by various people.
We have focussed primarily on a Visual content with less textual entries. Video and digital imaging was our priority, as Art itself suggests that it is a Visual Media. We have restricted to the use of only original images, and for this our coach was a great support.
We have borrowed a good number of images from him and his website. Our videos turned up to be of large size and therefore we had to upload them on You Tube through our Coach, due to our age restrictions on You Tube.
At the end of the seven month work we have learnt the best use of the Digital Media, handled a variety of Digital Camera, and mobile phones, and developed the sense of deleting inferior images by replacing with better thought-provoking ones.
And we are confident that the viewers will appreciate our work and the project…and will spread the message that ‘Art is important in our life.’
To end up our profile, we would like to add a famous advertisement slogan from a Paint manufacturer…
