Our artistic trail to the State Art Gallery

Our team members along with Maheshwari’s mother and Adwaita’s father started our move at 1:45 PM from our school K.V.Maligaon. We went to Rabindra Bhavan as the Art Gallery was there. We reached there in Prahlad’s car at about 2:20 PM. Our project coach Mr.Deb, Sir was waiting for us there. When we entered the Gallery we found that there were many people there as well as paintings. First we took some photographs of the visitors in the gallery viewing the Art objects which comprised of Paintings, Sculptures, Graphic prints etc. We the looked for opinions from the people around in the gallery, about our project. We explained them in a nut shell about our project idea, while they appreciated and agreed to give us their views. We then took an interview of the visitors at the gallery, Miss M. Borah and Miss A.Hussain, they were working as artists. After that we took an interview of Mr. Shantanu Roy followed by Ben Odyas . Moving forward we took the interview of a visiting Journalist and Photographer Mr. Diganta Borah who had come from from New Delhi. Our next interview was taken by artist Miss Manika Devi whose paintings were on display.  We then waited eagerly for our guest interviewee the eminent Illustrator of Children books published by National Book Trust, India and Head of the Department of Applied Art, at the Government Art College, Mr. Durlabh Bhattacharjee.  It was an amazing experience talking to Mr Durlabh Bhattacharjee, Sir. We requested him after the interview was over for an autograph. We were spell bound with the very instant sketch of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, which Mr Durlabh Bhattacharjee made along with his autograph. This is indeed a prized possession… We then moved to Big Bazaar which is a famous shopping complex in Guwahati. Our Coach told us that we should go and find our equipments needed for the next activity in the project.  After coming out from the mall we went to KFC for a little celebration on our sucess of the day’s all the activities. Our Coach and Mr. Santanu Roy gave us a treat. We insited our coach to let us see his home. At last we came back to our homes and ended our artistic journey of the day.   It was indeed a memorable journey…
